There are so many headquarters and National originations are situated in this city and the name of the organization is Survey of India, ONGC, Indian Institute of Petroleum, and Forest Research Institute etc. Most of the well known educational institute likes Lal Bahadur Shahstri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA), RIMC (Rashtriya Indian Military College) are also situated on Dehradun.

The scenic beauty of the Doon valley attracts tourism. Tourism in Doon city is increase day by day and tourism is the main source of income for the people of Doon valley.
